I'm in the new house, I say I'm in the new house. (That's a shout out to Corrie's Fred.)
The house is still chaotic and full of boxes. But I had some great helpers who have made a big dent in it all & more importantly lifted my spirits during the whole freaking event. Thank you again!!
Da boys survived the upheaval quite nicely and are back to their normal selves. They cowered in the basement (where I first let them out) for the first 1/2 hour or so and finally snuck their way upstairs to have a boo around.
I am now itching to do some renos - the carpet is going to go. It's not disgusting at all but you can tell it's old (it's probably original to the house) and towards the end of it's life span. Also, colorwise it's not practical for a toddler with a glass of grape juice. I am looking into putting down engineered wood throughout the main and 2nd floors, new & bigger baseboards, and painting. It's pretty exciting to be thinking of doing this (I love looking at paint chips) and to know I don't have to rush because M won't be here for another year or so. Now is definitely the time to get on with these sorts of projects. Wheeee!!!! (JunieB, we'll be hanging out in the paint department at Home Depot when you come - be forewarned.)
I still have a lot of blog reading to catch up on - I haven't had time to read much at all this week. I have 236 new feeds to read as of this minute. But for now, I'm going to bed. Well, soon...ish.
