If you've been here before you have probably noticed that I have changed the name of my blog from Random Ramblings on the Road to Motherhood to MummyHeart.
Why? Well, since sending off my dossier, I have felt like I've entered a new phase in the adoption process. I'm not 'officially' waiting yet (for me that occurs when my dossier lands in Ethiopia), but everything feels more 'real' now. I think I was so distracted over the past couple of months with the new house that I felt a little out of focus with the adoption.
Now that I have the house that M will call home and I'm getting it ready with her in mind at every step, I feel like it's time for a fresh start to everything. Maybe it's that whole nesting thing. I feel re-energized now (which probably explains the recent flurry of blogging) and ready to tackle anything.
Also, MummyHeart is the handle I go by on my favorite adoption message forum. I think it sums me up well. Plus it's nice and succinct, where RRRM was a bit unwieldy.
So, there you have it.
In other news, I'll be joining a group of APs & PAPs at the airport this afternoon to welcome home a friend and her daughter from Ethiopia! I am sooo excited. And this is the first homecoming I will have experienced. I can't wait to see them both!
