Oh yeah, my STINKIN' JOB!!
The project that was supposed to be over by the end of June is just now grinding to a halt. My big deliverable date is tomorrow and then I can coast on 8-hour days again.
So, just a quick note tonight because I'm really tired. PLUS, my sis and her family have been staying with me -- they arrived last week and leave this Friday.
Here are some pics I've meant to post.
Canada Day (July 1) at Prince's Island Park.
By the end of the day, there were about 12 other international students sitting with us on our blankets (from Korea, Holland, and maybe elsewhere) -- that was a fun way to spend the holiday.
Mom and me
Mom working on my baby blanket for me. Yes, the same blanket I started knitting way back when. It's close to being done...sort of.Next are the two outfits I bought for Myfanwy while in Jamaica. My SIL, Pat, bought the onesie for me. I shopped at a few stores before finding one in the right size. It's a 12-mth size but large enough for a 2-year old, I believe, so M should be able to wear it a few times. I love the saying on it, which is why I had to buy it.
The Bob Marley shirt is for a 2-year old and it was almost impossible to find one that small but I was determined. I was lucky to find it on our last day of shopping in Negril. During one of the flights to Jamaica, I watched I, Legend for the first time. Will Smith's daughter was named Marley, and he was playing some Bob Marley and I was thinking, hey, great name for a little girl. Then, as we were riding on the bus from the airport to the hotel, the driver was playing Bob Marley for us. Not really a coincidence since Bob's music was blasting from stereos everywhere, all the time, but it stuck with me. So when I saw all the adult-size Bob Marley shirts, I decided I had to find one in a kiddie size just in case I choose Marley as Myfanwy's name. And I picked up this shirt for next year's Canada Day, hoping M is home by then!!
Thanks to CinnamonOpus for bringing these Superstore 'Joe' shirts to my attention. Just 5 bones each.I have some major blog reading to catch up on, ASAP. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer. And hopefully there is some wonderful referral news out there!
