2008 is the year I will see my daughter's face for the first time!
AND
If I am as blessed as I think I am, it will be the year I bring her home to me.
I have said to a few people that I hope to bring Myfanwy home by Christmas (end of the year) - I really feel that will happen. But, it's a possibility I might have to wait till even February 2009 (gulp!) to hold her in my arms for the first time.
No matter what happens though, I will know who Myfanwy is this year and that is so exciting!!
From the moment I get that phone call and see her picture in that email, my life will never be the same. It will have changed forever in a way that nothing else has or ever can change it. No longer will I just be a Daughter, Sister, Friend, or Senior Technical Writer. I will add Mother to my titles. I will become a mother for the first time and for the rest of my life. Holy crap!
I couldn't wait for January 1st to roll around for that very reason.
This is my year!
And I am so excited as there are so many PAPs out there for whom 2008 is also going to be their year.
I am looking forward to following all of your stories and hearing when your good news comes in.
