I guess otters hold hands to keep from drifting off alone in the deep blue sea. It's easy to romanticize it and think they are just cute best friends or maybe totally in luuurrve!
When I was in Tofino a couple of years ago, I was able to watch a sea otter snacking on an urchin while floating on his back (he had a couple of urchins stashed in his pocket). I took some pictures from the boat but they are really blurry. That was before I got my new camera.
...oh actually, that's a lie, I think I had my new camera for that trip - I just take crap pictures...
