Phooey.

A bunch of us longtimers were waiting with bated breath for our CAFAC director to return from ET on Monday with a fist full of referrals, but we found out that she's staying an extra week and won't be back in the office until next Monday. As much as the extra wait sux, I'm going along with the suggestion that the extended visit means she will bring back more referrals to make more families happy--that would be AWESOME!

So, about one more week before I find out if I'm in the newest batch of referrals. The good news could come by the end of this month. Thanks to everyone who submitted a referral date! We'll see who got the right date.

Also, about the new court process: turns out it's not really that huge of a difference from the old process. Regional court approval was always required; the difference now is that the birth father must give his consent and additional documentation authentication is required prior to the federal court date. I am not stressing about it extending my timeline.

The extra week waiting for referral news means I get to perfect my referral dance even further. Here's the latest version. I taped it for you.
