Just so you know where I'm at with the referral wait.
Before Christmas, I found out that the chances of my being matched before the end of the year were slim to none. Because of the reasons for the delay (I won't go into them publicly, but the reasons affect more waiting families than just me), I am at peace with waiting a little longer to be matched with Myfanwy.
I know I am one of the families at the top of the waiting list and I am eligible to be matched any time now (it depends on if and when Myfanwy is there and ready for me). Unfortunately, it sounds like the next batch of referrals won't be signed off on and sent out for another few weeks when the agency director returns from a trip to ET later this month. Normally we don't have to have someone from the agency go to ET to pick up referrals as they are simply couriered to the agency. But, it seems like things will be a little different this time.
So, I'm now looking towards the end of this month ... oh, fcuk it, let's just say February ... to possibly receive my proposal. Deep breath.
In the meantime, I continue to pray for the health of the babies and children at the orphanages and for the strength of the caregivers flourishing them with love and all things good.
