Tagged: My six-word memoir

Good grief. It's been what, 9 days since my last post? Where did that time go? Oh yeah, WORKING like a mad woman. Oh well, this crazy month is almost over and I'll be able to enjoy the summer and get back to writing posts/reading blogs on a regular basis.

So, this post is actually about a month old. Thank goodness for the old Drafts that sit there waiting for times just like this when you need to post something to keep people interested but you don't have time to write anything worthwhile.

P.S. Thanks for the comments on my dream - the subconscious works in mysterious ways for sure. I hope when I DO get my referral dream, it's as powerful as some of yours.

CinnamonOpus tagged me for this one.

Here's the poop:

- Write your own six-word memoir.
- Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
- Link to the person that tagged you in your post and to this original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere.
- Tag five more blogs with links.

So, without further ado, here is my six-word memoir:

Anticipating the love of my life

I guess I could be referring to a couple of loves here, but the most important (and let's face it - the most satisfying) relationship I have yet to discover is the one I will share with my daughter.

And because coming up with those six words almost killed me (it was fun, but for me it wasn't as easy as it sounded), I will copy and paste the following background information for you to read.

Six-Word Memoirs: The Legend

Legend has it that Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. His response? “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” Last year, SMITH Magazine re-ignited the recountre by asking our readers for their own six-word memoirs. They sent in short life stories in droves, from the bittersweet (“Cursed with cancer, blessed with friends”) and poignant (“I still make coffee for two”) to the inspirational (“Business school? Bah! Pop music? Hurrah”) and hilarious (“I like big butts, can’t lie”).
