I saw the SATC movie on opening night Friday with a few friends (ALK & her sister, Dianne, Gena, and Gina)
I know it's getting some mixed reviews, but, like the majority of people out there, I LOVED IT! Didn't find it too long at all. Sure, the storyline was a bit much, but the whole series was like that. I found the movie to be just like the show with the same pacing, the same fun. I even belly laughed REALLY LOUD a few times.
Our experience was extra unforgettable because the movie theatre was having audio issues when the previews came on and the 99% female audience started getting louder and louder as the minutes counted down to the main event. In fact, we missed the first 45 seconds or so of the film's audio. As freaked out as I became, I kind of enjoyed yelling like a mad woman ("REWIND YOU IDIOT!!," "STOP IT!! STOP IT!!") at the projection window and at the poor (young male)
After the movie, we went for drinks and pub food (including the obligatory Cosmopolitans for some of us - yum!).
And ladies -- those of you who have seen the movie already -- without giving too much away, I will just say that I SAW EVERY DETAIL of 'the shower scene' (I know some people missed it while blinking - fools!). My eyes just happened to zero in on ...well... let's just say I was looking at the right place at the right time.
I think we all know who & what I'm talking about here: Who's That Naked Guy in Sex and the City?

If you enjoyed the SATC show, you'll like the movie, I'm sure. I am going to have to see it again.
