"Use your words"
I won't say this because:
A) I don't know what it means. And stubbornly I refuse to Google it (And don't tell me either! I don't care to know. If I wanted, I could probably deduce its meaning, but I honestly could not be arsed.)
B) It sounds like a convenient, throw away phrase that's just part of the current vernacular. By the time M is old enough for me to say things like that to her, there will probably be a new phrase to use.
and 3) My mother never used it.
I'm not saying it's a bad phrase. I'm just saying I don't get it. I guess I'm coming into motherhood too old and I don't know what the young, hipster mothers are saying. My kid's gonna love hate that about me.
