Can't commit. Should be committed.

I have many committment issues, but for once I'm not referring to men or area rugs & curtains.

Today I'm talking about crib bedding.

The thousands of choices out there are driving me batty.

I want something pretty but not too cutesy. And not everything matchy-matchy. I want it graphic but not too mod. I want it cosy but not too twee. I want it colorful but not so it will keep Myfanwy (and me) awake.

I don't want to get sick of looking at it after 6 months. I also don't want to spend a fortune. Despite whinging about it, I do like putting a lot of thought into decorating the nursery because I've waited coming up 43 years to do it. And that's just the kind of gal I am.

The nursery walls are the same buttery yellow as the main house color but I might add pink to a feature wall. Or just go with pink decor items. And maybe not just pink - I like cream and a pale, sage green too.

Whatever I choose, I need something that contains pink or works with pink because I brought these ages ago and blogged about them too:

I'm not really into themed rooms, but I love these lambs. I had to have them.

And I'm researching organic baby bedding. It seems to me, this is one of the most important items to purchase carefully as the kids spend so much time sleeping on those sheets and potentially breathing in all manner of nasty chemicals.

Unfortunately, a lot of organic bedding is dull, dull, dull. But I have found a couple of bright spots:

A bonus with this set is you can buy the pieces separately, meaning I won't have to buy a crib bumper (apparently these are dangerous for babies older than about 3 months old and Health Canada advises against their use).

This next set is at Babies R Us and is very, very soft. It feels like butter to the touch:

Here are a couple of other bedding sets I've liked along the way:

My list of possible bedding sets was much longer but looking at them again today I just felt 'ugh, what was I thinking?' One day I'll just have to bite the bullet and pick something.

If anyone has found any great crib bedding sites, please let me know. I'm fresh out of inspiration and going crazy changing my mind every day.

Perhaps Tami will help me decorate the nursery. She's an actual one-woman-dynamo/interior designer.
