Yeah!! Today I received the results of the fingerprint security check from Interpol Ottawa and everything is A-OK. Woo Hoo, one step closer!! I can't wait for the homestudy to begin. It's too bad I'm in training this week and have to wait a week to start. Oh well. So far it seems everything is going quickly but I'm sure I'll be saying the exact opposite in a few weeks time.
I still have to choose the international coordinators to work with - CAFAC or Kids-Link. On the one hand, CAFAC has a very established program working with Alberta families so there is a mature support group here in town. However, although they are new to working with Calgary, Kids-Link has a reputation for fast placements and travel times. They also seem to place younger infants. Decisions, decisions. I will have to get back on the horn with them both next week and get some more ??s answered.
