Do I rock or do I rock!Reason 38 why I will be a super single mom: I assembled Myfanwy's crib by myself tonight. Even though one part of the instructions said 2 people might need to do that step. HAH, I say! That was actually one of the easier steps (it was the previous step that nearly did me in).
It took about 2.5 hours. It would have gone much faster if I had asked someone to help me...but that's not me. I like to accomplish things all by my self (I'm actually not bragging about that trait).
I love the way the crib looks. Its style really complements the dresser.
As I was taking the crib pictures I noticed that the back might be on backwards...because there are 2 screw holes showing at the top. However, if you look closely, the other side has some splitting wood on it (it came like that out of the box) which makes it look a bit unfinished and wouldn't be safe for M. So, you know what! Screw it! I'm not taking it apart to reverse it. I'll paint the screw holes white and no one will ever know (other than everyone who reads this). Besides, there are exposed screw holes & screw heads all over the thing.I'm really looking forward to painting the nursery over the holidays. I like the way the yellow paint looks but it's a bit too cool for the look I want. Besides, this may be my only opportunity to have a pink room. The pink I've chosen might be too much on all four walls. If the room starts looking like a womb, I'll offset it with some white or cream. Stay tuned.
