Result!

Good news! Da Boys are both eating their new food. Ripley, as expected, has taken to the canned food like a baby to a bottle - he purrs while he eats - I didn't even know that was possible. Anyway, he's scarfing his meals back like it's no body's business.

And Midge is also now eating again. As expected, he flashed two fingers to the lot for about about 18 hours. Then just when I was getting ready to give him a wee bit of the dry goods, he actually pecked at his food. YAY!! Sometimes he even sits his arse down to eat as though he's going to stay a while (as opposed to sort of squatting). He's only eating a tiny bit, mind you - about a half tablespoon at each feeding. Ripley is almost up to a half can per sitting.

And my boys are so good about cutting back to two squares a day. They still let me wake up in my own sweet time. But once they see me getting their dishes and the can of food, man, they become two wild & crazy cat crack addicts. Midge is even louder than Ripley!

They are on Innova EVO and Wellness cans. Once I feel confident that Midge won't revert to his wet food aversion, I will replace one meal with the dry Innova. And I think I already see an improvement in their coats - they are both shinier and Midge seems to have lost most of the dandruff - it seems really quick to see results but I don't know what's normal. I also got them a fish oil supplement, so that may also account for the fast results.
