They followed me home!

As much I always love buying gifts for my friend's and family's children, NOTHING compares to buying for your own child! NO. THING. Trouble is, you have to have the closet ready to receive all the stuff. Biset's closet, despite it's large size, is not organized. So her nursery is a bit of a baby stock room these days. I've been cleaning it up this week in preparation of Makeda's visit next weekend for Afrikadey!

I can blame D Dae (private blog) for this first purchase. She let me know of the Robeez spring sale and so I got them at a great price. The rocking boots will be perfect for when Biset comes home this winter. The patent leather shoes are for next summer to go with the orange outfit:

I purchased the next two outfits at the same times as the Pooh PJs. This one will be for immediate use this coming winter:

This one is for next summer. I love that it is gender neutral (not pink):

I am starting to get a grasp on child sizing charts. Where I used to get light headed and vomitty trying to guesstimate for Biset, now I've sort of got it figured out. Basically I take her age and subtract 6 months to get her sizing because she is small for her age. So, for next summer's outfits, I'm buying for around the 12 month group, though she'll be 18 months then. For this winter, I'm going between 9-12 months - ish. That said, I am discovering that baby sizing is not consistent, so I'm going by look and feel. And everything has been for a screaming deal, so far. I will donate whatever doesn't fit.
